Mexico City (Ciudad de México or CDMX) will always be on my mind when it comes to the balance of nature and architecture.

Most distinctly, the area of Condesa (or La Condesa) offers tree-lined avenues with paved islands for pedestrians walking their dogs or stopping to take a break from their busy day. The stylish, art-deco cafes and posh bars incorporate their lush plants into their space, where it’s like they built their walls around existing trees (and maybe some did). Condesa brings warmth to the heart, and inspiration to the mind.
